Community Service

Tiger2Tiger will be our class’s legacy service project.

In the same spirit as legacy efforts from classes before us, such as Princeton AlumniCorps and Spirit of ’76, Tiger2Tiger will be the Class of 2002’s community service endeavor.

What is Tiger2Tiger exactly?

It will be a self-sustaining lending program that enables graduating Princeton seniors to pursue inspiring projects with immediate relevance and impact, and to “pay it forward” by satisfying their loans in order to fund future graduates’ projects. Our class will drive this effort through the funding we provide, the administration of the program itself, and our mentorship of the graduates as they carry out their projects.

What are the benefits?

We believe that Tiger2Tiger will deliver many benefits. The graduates will have the chance to pursue a unique opportunity of their design. In addition, current students, alumni, and classmates have all told us that Tiger2Tiger, through its flexibility, will be a wonderful complement to more well-defined post-graduate programs and fellowships like Teach for America or Princeton in Asia. Moreover, the program will give our class another way to stay involved in supporting the Princeton community and in sharing our experiences through mentorship.

What do you need from me?

Since Tiger2Tiger will be run completely by our class, we need your help to make it a success. We encourage you to learn more details by going to the Tiger2Tiger website: www.tiger2tiger.org. Please feel free to reach out to any member of our steering committee to ask questions. Then, please consider contributing to the program as a donor and/or as a volunteer. We also need great minds and energy to drive our marketing, fundraising, application review, and IT efforts.

How do I get involved?

Please email info@tiger2tiger.org if you are interested in volunteering.

With your help, we are confident that we will be able to get this program started with a bang when we introduce Tiger2Tiger at Reunions. It should be another special moment for our class as we continue our commitment to giving back to the Princeton community.
